Harware and Software Requirements for Online Teaching:

While any computer can serve the purpose of online teaching but a perfectly optimised computer can play a vital role in online teaching and making money from home.

Adjunct faculty members MUST have the following hardware and software (additional equipment and software may be required for some courses):

PC Requirements

1. Intel Core-2 compatible processor or higher
2. Windows XP or higher required (Windows XP Professional may be required in some courses. See Course Equipment and Software Requirements for details.)
3. 2 Gb of RAM required
4. CD ROM drive; DVD ROM drive recommended
5. 80 GB hard drive or greater
6. Internet service provider (ISP); broadband connection recommended
7. Microsoft Office 2007 (Professional recommended and may be required in some courses. See Course Equipment and Software Requirements for details.)
8. Internet Explorer 6.0, Mozilla Seamonkey 1.1, and/or Firefox 2.0 or higher browser(s). Other browsers may allow Blackboard access but not all functions will operate correctly and are not supported.
9. Virus Protection Software
10. Java 1.5 or later
11. Webcam recommended and may be required in some courses (See Course Equipment and Software Requirements for details.)

Mac Requirements

1. Intel, Mac OS X-compatible processor or higher
2. Mac OS X Version 10.4.X or later
3. 2 Gb of RAM required
4. CD ROM drive required; DVD ROM recommended
5. 80 GB hard drive or greater
6. Internet service provider (ISP); broadband connection recommended
7. Microsoft Office: Mac 2008
8. Safari 3.0, Mozilla Seamonkey 1.1, and/or Firefox 2.0 or higher browser(s). Other browsers may allow Blackboard access but not all functions will operate correctly and are not supported.

1. Sending and receiving e-mail
2. Sending and receiving file attachments
3. Microsoft Office XP or higher
4. Using the Internet

Major teacher requirements are as under:

1. No teaching experience is required. (we would provide the training to teach online)
2. You have to be qualified in any subject you want to teach online.
3. Can demonstrate in English language. Read, Write, Speak English should be fine.
4. Should be proficient in Computer usage.
5. Knows MS Office, or OpenOffice.org
6. Has his/her own computer and good internet connection.
